Artifacts from a Pandemic



That toilet paper that has been so coveted...seems a shame to toss the empty tube at the end of the roll.
Pondered this thought to my sculpture students...and these are our results!

Impasto


This past weekend we went to the Reach on the Kennedy Center Campus to view the Portraits of Courage painted by George W. Bush. I was very taken with the impasto style found in several of the paintings. The thick strokes are simultaneously inviting and tormented.
