National Zoo 2017
We had to bump the trip by two days due to the weather not cooperating, however it was so worth it to wait the extra days. There were 12O students and 12 excellent chaperones, and wonderful wild animals!

Infinite Madness on Easter!
Easter Sunday I woke up before dawn, woke my youngest and we headed off to the Hirshhorn to wait in line for same day passes to the Yayoi Kusama Infinity Exhibition!
We arrived to the line at 6:30 am and were already the 70th folks in line...
Time passed quickly because we brought a deck of cards...
If you haven't played Exploding Kittens it is a must!
Once we acquired our tickets we sat in the garden and read about this dynamo of an artist! Yayoi's story is one of inspiration and audacity!
A true delight in an almost overloaded sensory & exceptional visual experience! It is a wonderful way to spend a day with family and friends getting lost in the infinite possibilities that Kusama creates for us!
Spending the day at the Hirshhorn was a lovely way to spend Easter!

Herstory: Donna...Celebrating Bad Ass Women
Donna thought retirement would be the lapse of luxury...we all know there is no rest for the wicked!
This delightfully wise and wicked woman has been knee deep in advocating for her community since she left the education business... you know what they say...once a teacher, always a teacher.
Donna is out registering voters, getting others to the polls and educating folks on the democratic process. Deeply determined to be the change in the air, she works tirelessly in her community. I have deep admiration for this dynamic lady! She is a force.
