Are you the Chipmunk or the Squirrel?

The first weeks of school are like chipmunks and squirrels gathering peanuts at a tiny lunch table. The chipmunks eager to collect each small task and lesson, storing them like precious nuts. 

The squirrel, a little more experienced, guides the chipmunks, showing them how to balance fun with the responsibility of building a strong foundation. Together, they prepare for the season ahead, each peanut a step closer to thriving in their new environment.

School starts Monday!

The arrival of the new school year is like the emergence of cicada broods after years underground—both burst onto the scene with a noisy energy, ready to make their mark after a long, summer preparation. Just as the cicadas fill the air with their buzzing chorus, the halls are soon humming with the excitement of new beginnings, the students' enthusiasm echoing through the corridors like a song that’s been waiting to be sung.

This series was created to pay homage to the many zillions of cicadas making their way around the Midwest this summer!
